Wayne J. Harsha, MD, attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and received his medical degree in 1997. He then served his internship in general surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, Washington. Furthermore, he conducted his residency in otolaryngology at the same teaching venue. In addition, he completed a fellowship training in head and neck cancer and reconstruction with Mayo Clinic Arizona. Dr. Harsha received board certification in otolaryngology from the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS). He remains in good standing with the Society of Military Otolaryngologists. Prior to medical school, he acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Furman University in 1997.
